Stock Girls: Cruisin' on Crooked Lake

Daddy had to work today so we woke up, ate breakfast and hit the lake. It was just us and the fishermen. In fact, it was so peaceful that Caroline fell back asleep! Between the rocking of the boat and her comfy bouncy seat, she just couldn't help it. The lake was BEAUTIFUL this morning. The water was calm, the air was cool, and the sun was warm. It was the perfect combination for a morning boat ride with a hot cup of coffee (for Mommy and Daddy, of course). We were able to cruise for about an hour and a half with Mommy driving the boat. (Mommy isn't usually the "Captain", but Daddy is trying to teach her so he can relax too!) A morning like today was the perfect day to practice! We saw ducks, swans, geese and lots of fishing boats! We pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves! It was a wonderful way to start our Sunday morning! After Daddy showed 14 houses! we were able to take a sunset cruise later in the evening. Again, the lake was deserted so it was another peaceful, smooth ride. The girls (Mommy included) did get our dancing shoes on for a couple of tunes, but other than that we just looked for pictures in the clouds and watched the sun go down.
