Today begins the last day of our Nags Head vacation. I was planning on writing a little more often, but by the end of each day, I was exhausted (luckily the kids were too!). We have had a great time playing at the beach, swimming at the pool, and hanging out with our cousins from Ohio and South Carolina. Henry celebrated his 2nd birthday with a Curious George birthday party - all the kids enjoyed the cake and ice cream at lunch time! The kids thoroughly enjoyed "dip time" every night where we have dip and chips. Caroline started to feel a little left out and wanted a snack too! She has put up with her Cheerios, but we still think she knows she's missing out. I think she is ready to eat big people food! We took the kids out for our annual Pizza Night and Todd and I were able to make it to our favorite hang out, Tortuga's Lie on another night. We also took our annual trip to the sand dunes. We all hiked up the big dunes (Caroline rode up on Daddy's back) and then held hands and ran down the big hill. Everyone had fun, but boy were we hot! The kids have really enjoyed swimming. Maggie can now jump in off the side of the pool and swim underwater to Todd and Molly went underwater in ocean! The weather has been beautiful and the water has been calm enough for the kids to really enjoy the surf. Caroline loves the water as much as her sisters. She loves to sit by the surf and let the waves come up and get her wet. She has floated in the pool and even floated in the ocean. Maggie also got a brand new kite and had a great time flying it with Daddy. She picked out her very own kite with purple and pink unicorns on it! She had a lot of fun! Yesterday, Caroline stood up in her crib all by herself! Her "roomies" (Grandma and Papa - her crib is in their room!) came out and she was greeting them on her feet! Overall, we've had a blast, but we are ready to get back out on the lake!
